Royal Beach Resort is situated on the South-West part of the island of Karpathos in a village called Arkasa. Only 16 km from the capital of Karpathos and just 8 km from the main airport of the island, Arkasa can be easily reached by car, taxi or bus.

The ancient Arkesia, as it was initially called, was one of the four ancient towns in Karpathos. Even today you will the see remains of the ancient town.

One of the most important monuments in the region is the Old Christian Basilica of Saint Anastasia from the 5th BC. It has marvelous mosaics, part of which you will see at the church’s yard. The mosaic floor of this church is now kept
at Rhodes museum.

Today Arkasa is a modern town which offers almost everything: restaurants, cafes, shops,
mini markets, tavernas, cocktail bars and more.

Further, in the region of Arkasas belongs also a marine neighborhood, the small fisherman's village... Finiki.
